PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, VIRGINIA — A Riverside Regional Jail officer was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly delivering drugs to a prisoner, according to a release from the facility.
On Wednesday, Sept. 10, the Prince George County Police Department arrested Akiylah Taylor for conspiracy to deliver drugs to a prisoner, per court records.
However, it’s unclear what the substances were.
“This is a deeply troubling breach of trust,” said Colonel Jeffrey Dillman. “Introducing contraband into a correctional facility endangers not only the lives of inmates but also the safety of our staff. We have zero tolerance for such behavior and we will pursue every avenue to ensure accountability.”
