USA - A schoolgirl was subjected to up to eight hours a day of cruel online abuse by a depraved troll who urged her to take her own life - before an FBI investigation revealed the tormentor was her own mother.
Kendra Licari, 44, appeared to be an ordinary school-gate parent. Yet behind closed doors she waged a secret two-year campaign of harassment against her daughter Lauryn, then 13, and Lauryn's boyfriend, Owen McKenny.
The disturbing ordeal began in October, 2020, when the couple, who had been together for a year, were added to a group chat from an unknown number.
In one text to Lauryn, Kendra wrote: 'Kill yourself now, b**ch. His life would be better if you were dead.'
One of the first messages claimed Owen no longer liked Lauryn and declared he wanted to be with someone else instead.
'Hi Lauryn, Owen is breaking up with you,' one text read, continuing, 'He no longer likes you and hasn't liked you for a while. It's obvious he wants me. He laughs, smiles and touches my hair.'
