FLORENCE COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — Deputies have made an arrest in a shooting that killed a toddler on Saturday evening, according to Florence County Sheriff T. J. Joye.
Kenneth Washington Jr., 36, of Hemingway was arrested on Tuesday and charged with murder.
On Saturday around 9:25 p.m., deputies responded to Johnsonville Rescue Squad at 213 East Broad Street in reference to a gunshot victim.
The shooting happened along the 900 block of Midway Highway in Johnsonville, and the people in the car drove the child to the Johnsonville Rescue Squad for help.
