COLUMBUS, GEORGIA - Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the Sept. 5 shooting on Bay Avenue that left 18-year-old Kalielah Davis dead.
The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, Fugitive Unit, Real Time Crime Center, and the Phenix City Police Department assisted in the arrests.
Lafabien Anderson, 16 - Arrested Sept. 11. His case was bound over to Superior Court with no bond.
Charges: Murder (Senate Bill 440), five counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm under 18 years old.
Kacin Grant, 21 - Arrested Sept. 17. Awaiting extradition from Alabama.
Charges: Murder, five counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Ty’Ron Cherry, 15 - Arrested Sept. 17. Preliminary hearing set for Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m.
Charges: Murder (Senate Bill 440), five counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm under 18 years old.
Lamarcus Williams, 18 - Arrested Sept. 17. Preliminary hearing set for Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m.
Charges: Murder, five counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Noah Toney, 15 - Arrested Sept. 17. Preliminary hearing set for Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m.
