MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE - A man was arrested Tuesday after he shot a father while he tried to drive off from an attempted robbery with his children in the car, records show.
Marquez Johnson, 27, was arrested for three counts of attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, records show.

A man told investigators that around 9:30 p.m. July 6, he met up with a man in a Midtown neighborhood when that man tried to rob him. The man had his kids in the car and drove off, records show.
