JONESBORO, ARKANSAS - Jonesboro police arrested one person Thursday night after responding to a shots-fired call.
Around 7 p.m. Sept. 19, officers were called to a home on Meadowbrook Road following reports of gunshots.
The victim, according to court documents, said her son’s father, 30-year-old Demarius Deshawn Munn, had hit her.
When her son tried to intervene to protect her, the woman said Munn “went after the child, attempting to strike him.”
The victim then “fired a gun in the air to scare Munn and to protect her son,” the affidavit stated. “A neighbor corroborated her statement saying that she saw Munn punching the adult victim and assaulting the child.”
