BEULAVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA — The Beulaville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the 2900 block of E NC 24 Highway at approximately 12:20 a.m. on September 13.
Officers discovered that Luis Sanchez, of Garland, N.C., had lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road, and collided with a street sign and a mailbox before coming to a stop in the roadway.
During the investigation, officers determined that Sanchez was impaired. A search of the vehicle uncovered a concealed handgun, approximately 7.6 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, and cash. The cocaine was found on Sanchez's person.
