EL PASO, TEXAS - El Paso's Chief Military Officer Paul Albright resigned from his position a day before he allegedly assaulted his wife, city officials confirmed.
"Paul Albright submitted his resignation from his position with the city of El Paso on Aug. 28, 2025," a statement by El Paso city spokesperson Laura Cruz-Acosta said.
The resignation took effect on Thursday, Sept 25. Albright used his accrued vacation time leading up to the conclusion of his employment, the statement said.
The city's chief military officer acts as a liaison between city leaders, military members, and veterans to address any military-related issues.
