Des Moines shooting: Woman injured in shooting in River Bend neighborhood

Des Moines, Iowa - Des Moines police say one person was injured Saturday night in a shooting in the River Bend neighborhood. Officers were called to 7th Street and Forest Avenue just after 8 p.m. They arrived to find a woman who had been wounded in the arm. She was taken to a local hospital with injuries that authorities believe are not life-threatening. Des Moines police said there is no ongoing danger to the neighborhood.
