VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA - A dad is going to prison after being accused of fatally beating his 2-month-old daughter, Virginia officials said.
In December 2019, La’Shaun Quintae Holloway was taking care of his daughter, according to an Oct. 6 news by the city of Virginia Beach. While watching the baby, Holloway’s family heard him yelling at her through an X-box headset, officials said.
The baby stopped crying before she was eventually found unresponsive, prosecutors said. She was taken to the hospital where she was put on life support before dying a few days later, officials said.
Medical personnel determined the baby had 26 rib fractures in different stages of healing, bruising to her chest, a skull fracture, bruising on her skull near her eyes and bleeding of the brain, officials said.
