CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE - A Chattanooga woman faces charges after police say she broke into her wheelchair-bound ex boyfriend's apartment and violently assaulted him last year.
An affidavit we obtained says Chattanooga Police responded to a call from the man in Chattanooga in June of 2024.
At that time, he told police his ex-girlfriend, 29-year-old Taneshia Gearing, had kicked through his locked front door, and screamed at him.
He told officers he had to get out of his wheelchair and slide down the stairs to get away from Gearing as she ransacked his apartment.
He said Gearing then came out of the house and ripped off his shirt, pulling out of the wheelchair.
