SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO - U.S. Marshals arrested a man wanted for a deadly shooting at an Akron gas station last month.
According to the release, early Saturday morning, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested 41-year-old Demario McCall.
McCall was wanted by the Akron Police for murder, having weapons while under disability and carrying concealed weapons.
According to police, the suspect was reportedly harassing women in the parking lot. When the victim intervened, police say the suspect shot him.
McCall is accused of fatally shooting 26-year-old Ar’Mon Covington on July 6 at around 4:14 a.m.
Police said McCall was harassing a woman at the BP gas station at 778 Grant Street when Covington tried to intervene.
When Covington intervened, police say the suspect shot him.
Covington was pronounced dead at the scene.
A warrant was issued for McCall’s arrest on July 7.
Members of NOVFTF located McCall at home in the 500 block of Ardella Avenue in Akron.
