DANVILLE, VIRGINIA – The Danville Police Department has arrested a wanted man in connection with a series of burglaries and multiple thefts from vehicles, resulting in over 20 charges against him.
Antonio Devonta Ballard, 28, was taken into custody on Sunday, August 31. According to police, the charges stem from stolen items, including documents and property taken from vehicles, as part of an ongoing burglary investigation.
Ballard is charged with the following:
4 counts of petit larceny
5 counts of possession of stolen property
5 counts of entering a vehicle unlawfully
5 counts of credit card theft
1 count of burglary
1 count of grand larceny
1 count of possession of a controlled substance
The police report indicates that Ballard was identified inside a residence and is linked to vehicle thefts on Hughes Street, North Hills Court, Garland Street, and Schoolfield Drive.
Police say Ballard was identified in connection with an ongoing burglary investigation on Edmonds Street. Ballad is charged with thefts from vehicles on Hughes Street, North Hills Court, Garland Street, and Schoolfield Drive.
Ballard is currently in the Danville City Jail.
