SOUTHAVEN, MISSISSIPPI - Southaven Police have arrested a suspect who led Memphis Police on a pursuit over a stolen car in southwest Memphis that ended in DeSoto County.
The chase started around 7 p.m. on Tuesday when Memphis officers identified a stolen vehicle at the Exxon gas station at Horn Lake Road and Third Street. Officers attempted to detain two individuals in the vehicle who then rammed the police car nearly striking an officer and fled.
Police gave chase until the vehicle stopped in the Rasco Hill area in Southaven and the suspects fled on foot. Memphis police apprehended one suspect, but the other is still at large.
Southaven Police arrested Mario Oliver, 38, of Memphis, who was charged with receiving stolen goods, weapons possession by a felon, and possession of a stolen firearm.
