LAS VEGAS, NEVADA — A suspect in the 2023 killing of a Las Vegas woman was arrested in Texas on Thursday for the alleged murder of a man in a Louisiana convenience store.
Virgil Mack, Jr., 31, led police on a midnight chase across Louisiana into Texas, where he was taken into custody after the car that he and two other occupants were in crashed, Ruston police said Friday.
Officers were called to a shooting at a convenience store where 35-year-old Ontario Spivery was found dead. Police said they were able to identify and track Mack and the vehicle he was using with license plate reader technology and surveillance video.
