BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA - The man charged in the killing of a Birmingham high school football coach told a detective he fired a shot to scare the victim when he found him in his bed, but said the gun “kept firing.”
De’Corlion Keshaun Robinson is charged with murder in the August shooting death of 39-year-old Demetrice Darnell Beverly.
Beverly was a husband and father of three daughters who was an assistant football coach at Parker High School.
Robinson is also charged with having a machine gun conversion device on his Glock handgun.
