TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA - A man with a knife was seen stabbing people in the popular Cascades Park in Tallahassee the evening of Sept. 10, including one woman who was holding a baby.

The two women injured are in stable condition and are expected to survive, a Tallahassee Police Department spokesperson said. The suspect was found dead.

Police later identified the man as Octavious McCaine, 19, and said in a release they had received a call two hours earlier that McCaine had left home "an agitated state" and could become violent. Officers began checking his usual locations but were called at 7:35 p.m. for a welfare check at the park for someone "reported to be in distress."

Moments later, the 911 calls started coming in that people had been stabbed.
