SANFORD, FLORIDA - A Sanford man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a June shooting that killed another man, Sanford police said.
Jocquise Lavarsea Jarrells, 24, was charged with first-degree premeditated homicide in the death of Christopher Lamar Houston, 23, according to police.
Sanford police responded to HCA Lake Monroe just before 6:30 p.m. on June 8, after Houston arrived at the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds, SPD said.
Officers also responded to the area of 12th Street and Pecan Avenue, where the shooting reportedly took place.
