NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - A woman accused of the fatal beating of a man in a New Orleans hotel room was arrested Wednesday (Sept. 24) in Central City, New Orleans police said.
Feliciana Winniford, 38, was booked with second-degree murder in connection with the bludgeoning death of a 73-year-old man whose body was found Tuesday inside a room at the Homewood Suites at 317 North Rampart St.

The victim’s identity still has not been disclosed by authorities.
A source familiar with the case told Fox 8 that the man was found nude and tied to the bed of the hotel room. He was pronounced dead at the scene from what appeared to be blunt-force trauma injuries, the department said.
Police have not explained Winniford’s alleged link to the homicide, but said in a statement, “As the investigation progressed, NOPD Homicide Section detectives developed and positively identified Winniford as the perpetrator in this incident.”
