WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA - A Riviera Beach man is facing charges after investigators say he filed dozens of fraudulent court documents in a capital murder case.
Deputies arrested Carl Bryant, accusing him of submitting more than 60 fake filings tied to the murder case against his girlfriend, Naikishia Williams.
Williams is charged with killing her 7-year-old daughter, Nia, in April. Prosecutors say Williams beat the child over an extended period, and the medical examiner ruled her death was caused by blunt force trauma. The state is seeking the death penalty in her case.
Investigators say Bryant attempted to tamper with witnesses and discredit evidence. According to the arrest report, he filed fake "affidavits of truth" claiming Williams’ children lied to Riviera Beach detectives and had been questioned without parental consent.

Detectives later confirmed the children never spoke to investigators, were living with their grandparents at the time, and had no contact with Bryant.
Authorities also say Bryant submitted false medical records suggesting Nia died of sepsis, not blunt force trauma, contradicting the medical examiner’s findings.
