VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI — Bond has been revoked for a Vicksburg murder suspect after a recent arrest in another county.
Judge Toni Terrett officially revoked the bond of Tavon Cain following his arrest in Rankin County. Assistant District Attorney Branan Southerland represented the state in this case, and Cain was represented by Attorney Eugene Perrier.
A few weeks ago, Cain was pulled over by a state trooper after being observed wearing a ski mask. The trooper reported smelling marijuana and noticing a gang tattoo on Cain’s neck. When asked to step out of the vehicle, Cain fled on foot, running east on Interstate 20. He was later captured on U.S. 49 near U.S. 80 in Pearl and taken to the Rankin County Detention Center.
Law enforcement officers also reviewed Cain’s social media accounts, where he was seen with multiple weapons. When arrested, he was found in possession of a homemade “ghost gun.” A female passenger in the vehicle admitted, along with Cain, to smoking marijuana earlier that day.
