MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA - An Alabama man has been charged with capital murder during the sexual assault of another man over the weekend.
Montgomery police were dispatched just before 5 a.m. Saturday to a report of a person down in the 100 block of Dexter Avenue.
Lt. Tina McGriff on Monday identified the suspect as 51-year-old Barry Andre Freeman.
Charging documents against Freeman say the Montgomery man is charged with capital murder during rape/sodomy.
The deposition states that Freeman made sexual advances on the victim, which Crowe refused.
Freeman then struck Crowe in the throat with his fist, rendering the victim unconscious, records state.
Records also state that while the victim was unconscious, the suspect performed forcible sexual intercourse on him.
