PRICHARD, ALABAMA — A Prichard man has been arrested for alleged sexual abuse of a child.
According to a Mobile County Sheriff’s Office news release, James Edward Williams was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at around 12:10 p.m. on six counts of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old.
The investigation began when Prichard police responded to sexual abuse allegations of an intellectually disabled 10-year-old girl at an elementary school on Thursday, Oct. 9
The Prichard Police Department enlisted the help of the MCSO. Through video footage, officers said they identified six instances of abuse against the victim.
