CALIFORNIA - A brazen tow truck driver has been taken into federal custody after he allegedly stole ICE agents' vehicle while they tried to apprehend a TikTok influencer in California - and laughed as he got away.

Bobby Nunez, 33, was at an upscale apartment complex in South Los Angeles on August 15 when Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents sought to take illegal immigrant Leidy Tatiana Mafla-Martinez into custody on August 15.

The officers flashed the emergency lights on two black SUVs as they blocked Mafla-Martinez's Tesla from exiting the apartment complex's parking structure, NBC Los Angeles reports.

When the officers were then struggling to arrest Mafla-Martinez, who had been convicted of driving under the influence, Nunez approached her Tesla and 'began pressing the passenger side door of her vehicle [into] an officer, who then threatened Nunez with arrest,' federal authorities said.

'After being told the officers were conducting a federal investigation, Nunez swore at the officers and told them "Something was going to happen" to them,' they said.

When the officers then turned their attention to another man who was approaching Mafla-Martinez's vehicle, authorities say Nunez used his tow truck to tow one of the vehicles blocking her car.

Shocking video from the scene showed ICE agents pinning Mafla-Martinez to the ground as the dark-colored SUV was being pulled away - prompting one agent to run after it.
