CRAVEN COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA - The Craven County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in the 2023 unsolved murder of Torran George.
According to court records 41 year old Dejuan Frazier of Adams Creek Rd, in Havelock was taken into custody and charged with George's murder Thursday night.
The case goes back to August 4th, 2023 when deputies from the Craven County Sheriff's Office responded to a check on welfare call at 110 Ferry Rd. in the eastern part of Craven County. When they arrived on scene they located a deceased male later identified as Torran George. An autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the death was the result of a homicide.
At the time of the incident the crime scene was processed by the Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigators and numerous items of evidence were collected for processing. Some of these items were submitted to the State Crime Lab in Raleigh for further examination.
No further details have been release at this time by the Sheriff's Office or District Attorney's Office detailing how Frazier was linked to the crime.
Frazier is currently being held at the Craven County Detention Center without bond.
