NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA — US Marshals served a warrant in the Wescott Chase neighborhood off Patriot Boulevard Monday afternoon and apprehended a suspect peacefully, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
Marshals originally arrived to serve the warrant around 10:45 a.m. before a swat dispatch call went out, prompting NCPD to issue an alert for the public to avoid the area as it responded to an active incident. NCPD said the suspect was wanted by the Charleston Police Department and emerged from the home at 12:50 p.m.
CPD confirmed the suspect as 27-year-old Tiquan De'Vonte Harris of Summerville, who was wanted for a reported strong arm robbery incident in West Ashley that occurred on Sept. 7. CPD said that Harris allegedly assaulted an acquaintance and stole their cell phone inside a residence on Bantry Circle, and additional charges are expected.
