STATESBORO, GEORGIA - On August 26th, the Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office received a request for assistance from the Statesboro Police Department (SPD) concerning a child molestation case that occurred in Jenkins County. With assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the suspect, Angel Hernandez Mendoza, was arrested on Aug. 27th and booked into the Jenkins County Jail.
