STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA - Langston University police released body camera footage from July of a shootout between officers and a Stillwater murder suspect. The man has been charged with two murders and a shooting that left a woman critically injured.
Stillwater police said Theodore McCloud, 36, killed his girlfriend and then turned the gun on a couple living in the same apartment. The surviving victim was able to positively identify the shooter, who was later arrested in Langston.
As Stillwater police investigated a grisly murder scene, McCloud fled to his home in Langston in the early morning hours of July 28. Two Langston University officers parked outside the home with guns drawn.
Langston police said McCloud fired at the officers first, and the officers returned gunfire. The shots could be heard in the officer's body camera. The shooting led to a foot pursuit. McCloud was captured and arrested after police said he ran out of ammunition.
